Humility always attracts the attention of God.

Pride says, “I’ve got this. I can do it on my own.” But humility says, “God, I need You. I cannot make it without You.”And when you choose humility, you place yourself right where God can move in your life.

The Bible tells us that pride goes before destruction. Pride makes us think we are in control when we are not. Think about it. We cannot control our next breath. Our heartbeat. Our tomorrow. We need God.

Humility is saying, “God, I surrender. I depend on You. I can’t fix this on my own.” And the moment we do, we invite the supernatural power of God into our situation.

This is why prayer, praise, and faith are signs of humility. Each one declares, “God, I can’t, but You can.” The world might see that as weakness, but heaven sees it as strength.

Have you ever felt like fear was holding you back? Maybe it’s kept you from trying something new, stepping out in faith, or doing what you know God has asked you to do. The truth is, fear is one of the enemy’s favorite weapons. He uses it to try to stop us right in our tracks.

But here’s the good news. God’s word tells us over and over, “Do not fear.” Some say it’s written 365 times in the Bible. That’s one for every day of the year. I don’t know about you, but that’s a daily reminder I need.

God never said you won’t feel fear. He just said don’t let fear stop you. Fear is a real emotion, but we don’t have to give it power over our decisions. Think about Peter in the boat. When Jesus told him to come out on the water, Peter stepped out in faith. He walked on top of the waves. But when he took his eyes off Jesus and looked at the wind and the storm, he began to sink.

That’s what fear does. It distracts us. It pulls our focus away from Jesus. But as long as we keep our eyes on Him, we can walk on water too. You may not have all the answers. You may not see how it’s all going to work out. But that’s what faith is. Trusting God even when you don’t have it all figured out.

Remember this. Faith believes what God says. Fear believes what the devil says. Which one are you going to listen to today?

Have you ever played the “what if” game?
What if the deal doesn’t go through?
What if the doctor gives me bad news?
What if the bills don’t get paid?

We can live in a cycle of fear if we keep playing that game. It’s a trap that pulls us into stress and doubt. But friend, we don’t have to live that way.

Let me share a story I heard years ago. A young naval sailor was training on the open sea. His captain asked, “Son, if a storm comes up, what would you do?”

The sailor replied, “Sir, I’d throw out an anchor.”
The captain nodded. “What if another storm came?”
The sailor answered, “I’d throw out another anchor.”
The captain asked a third time, “What if another storm rolled in?”
The young sailor said, “Sir, I’d throw out another anchor.”
The captain laughed and said, “Where are you getting all those anchors from?”
And the sailor replied, “The same place you’re getting all those storms from.”

That’s the truth. If life throws more storms, God has more anchors. His Word. His promises. His presence. That’s what we hold on to when fear tries to take over.

Romans 8:31 says, If God be for us, who can be against us? No matter what comes, God is bigger than the storm. And He has already gone before you.

Prayer on the ground determines what God does in the heavens. That’s a powerful truth. I want to remind you today that when we pray, God is working. Even when we can’t see it, He is moving behind the scenes.

The Bible never says if we pray, but when we pray. That means prayer should not be an option. It should be a lifestyle. But if we’re honest, prayer isn’t always easy. We get distracted. Our minds wander. We start thinking about the laundry, the phone calls, or what’s for dinner. I get it. Even as a pastor, I struggle sometimes too.

The enemy knows the power of prayer. He wants to keep us busy so we won’t stop and seek God. But let me remind you, a prayerless Christian is a powerless Christian. Prayer is our power source.

So what can help?

1. Make an appointment with God. Just like you would with anyone else, schedule it. God will be there. Will you?
2. Set the atmosphere. Play worship music. Let it center your heart and mind on the Lord.
3. Start with thanksgiving. Thank God for what He’s already done. Gratitude opens the door to His presence.
4. Bring your Bible. Read the Word. Let the scripture guide your prayers.

Prayer isn’t about being perfect. It’s about being present. God is not looking for polished words. He’s looking for a willing heart.

Life may be hard, but God is still holding you.

Does life feel difficult today? Maybe it seems like everything changed overnight. One day you feel like you're on top of the world. The next day, it feels like the world is on top of you. That’s how life goes sometimes. It can shift fast.

But here’s the truth. God never changes. He is steady when everything else feels shaky. The Bible says He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. That means His love stays the same. His power never fades. And His Word always stands.

I remember visiting the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse on the coast of North Carolina. It’s the tallest lighthouse in the United States. Someone asked the park ranger, “How many storms has it survived?” The ranger smiled and said, “All of them.”

That answer stuck with me. It made me think. How many storms have you survived?

The answer is the same. Every single one.

Even when it felt like the world was falling apart, you’re still here. Not because life was easy, but because God was faithful. And the same God who brought you through before is the same God walking with you today.

So when life gets hard, take a deep breath. Remind yourself of this one truth.

Let me ask you a simple but powerful question: What are you believing God to do in your life?

Sometimes, faith begins when we don’t have all the answers. In fact, Hebrews 11:6 says, “Without faith it is impossible to please God.” That tells me something very important. It tells me that when I place my trust in God, even when I cannot see the outcome, it brings joy to His heart.

Why do I believe God will come through? Because God is who He says He is. He has what He says He has. And He can do what He says He can do.

I know the waiting can be tough. Maybe you're staring at your calendar or checking your watch, wondering when God will move. But let me remind you, God is faithful. Philippians 1:6 says, “Being confident of this very thing, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.”

Even when you cannot see it or feel it, God is working behind the scenes. Just like the words of the song "Way Maker" remind us, God never stops working. You may feel stuck or uncertain right now, but preach this to yourself today:

God is up to something!

So, do not give up. God hasn’t given up on you. He loves you. He cares about you. And He is working all things together for your good.

Go back and remember the times He came through before. If He did it then, He can do it again.

Have you ever been lost and had to ask for directions? Some of us remember pulling out paper maps or walking into gas stations to ask someone how to get where we needed to go. It took humility to admit, “I need help finding my way.”

Spiritually speaking, we all need help finding our way. And here's the truth: there is only one way to heaven, and that way is Jesus.

In John 14:6, Jesus said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”

Jesus didn’t say He was a way or just a good option. He said He is the way. He’s the only road that leads home to heaven. Being a good person is not enough. Giving to the poor is not enough. Being kind is not enough. Those are all good things, but they are not the way to eternal life.

John 17:24 tells us that Jesus longs for us to be with Him. He prayed, “Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am.”

The cross was God's roadmap. Jesus paid the price with three nails and two pieces of wood. The cross became the bridge between our sin and God’s holiness. If we believe in Him, if we ask Him to forgive our sins, if we follow Him as Lord, then we are on the only path that leads to heaven.

Have you ever thought about what heaven is going to be like? I mean really thought about it? The world we live in is far from perfect. We see pain, loss, and sorrow all around us. But God promises something better. Heaven is not just some wishful idea. It is a real place prepared by a real Savior. Jesus is getting it ready for those who love Him.

Heaven is a place of no more pain. No more tears. No more goodbyes. No more fear. Just peace, joy, and the presence of the Lord. I’ve stood beside many loved ones who took their last breath here and their first breath in glory. What a comfort to know that when they left this world, they entered a perfect one.

Paul reminds us in 1 Corinthians 2:9 that we cannot even begin to imagine the good things God has in store for those who love Him. Think about that. The best here still doesn’t compare to what is waiting there.

Have you ever walked into a room and just felt the tension? You could just feel it. That’s exactly what Jesus did 2,000 years ago. During the Passover meal, as He sat with His disciples, Jesus looked around and saw the worry and confusion on their faces. He had just told them He was leaving, and they didn’t understand why. But Jesus read the room. He saw their fear. He felt their pain.

Then Jesus spoke words that still bring peace today. “Let not your heart be troubled. Believe in God, believe also in me.” (John 14:1)

Jesus didn’t ignore their pain. He answered it with hope. He reminded them that He was going to prepare a place for them. He promised that He would come again. And He assured them that He wanted them to be with Him forever.

That same Jesus sees you today. He reads your heart like He read that room. He sees the questions. He knows the stress. He understands the weight you carry. And He says again, “Let not your heart be troubled.”

Maybe you’re wondering if God knows what you’re going through. Maybe life feels confusing or heavy. The good news is, Jesus does know. He felt it all. Pain. Fear. Betrayal. Loss. And He overcame it all.

The cross was not the end. The grave was not the finish line. Jesus rose again. Because He lives, you can face whatever comes your way. And you can do it with peace in your heart.

Have you ever stopped to think about what heaven will be like? As a pastor, I’ve stood beside many families in their hardest moments. Saying goodbye to someone you love is never easy. The tears. The grief. The heartbreak. It’s real. But when that loved one knows Jesus, something powerful happens. There’s peace. There’s hope. There’s the promise that they are no longer suffering. They are with Jesus.

The Bible says, “To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.” That’s not just a nice phrase. That’s a promise. When our time on this earth ends, the next moment for the believer is in the presence of Jesus. No more pain. No more sorrow. Only joy. Only peace. Only worship.

John tried to describe heaven in the book of Revelation. Streets of gold. Walls of jasper. Gates of pearl. But even with all his words, I believe John wanted to say, “You just have to see it for yourself.” Like a beautiful vacation, pictures and words don’t do it justice. You have to be there. And one day, we will.

Jesus said He has gone to prepare a place for us. If He said it, we can believe it. So when life gets hard, when the tears come, when you feel overwhelmed by loss, remember this truth: What’s waiting for us is greater than anything we’ve faced here.

There’s never been a day in your life that you didn’t make it. Think about that for a moment. You’re still standing. You’re still here. And that alone is a testimony of God’s faithfulness.

Like David in the Bible, we have to learn how to encourage ourselves in the Lord. That means we don’t wait for someone else to lift us up. We remember how good God has been. We recall His promises. We speak His word over our situation.

Some days will be hard. One phone call or one comment can turn a good day upside down. But that’s when we pause and take a time out. We lift our eyes off the problem and place them on the Problem Solver.

Even when we don’t feel like praising, we praise anyway. Why? Because our praise isn’t about our feelings. It’s about who God is.

When I sing about the goodness of God, I can’t help but look back and see how He’s never let me down. He’s provided. He’s protected. He’s proven Himself again and again.

So today, let this truth sink in. If God was faithful yesterday, He’ll be faithful today. And He’ll still be faithful tomorrow.

Have you ever met someone who thought they already knew it all? Truth is, that attitude can block us from growing in our faith. But when we approach God with a teachable and receivable spirit, everything changes.

We are all on a journey together. No one has it all figured out. Every single one of us is learning to follow Jesus better. Being a Christian means we follow Christ, and to follow Him, we have to get to know Him. That happens through prayer and spending time in His word.

I try my best each day to ask the Lord, “Help me understand what I’m reading. Teach me. Speak to me.” I don’t need things to be complicated. I want to understand God’s truth in a simple way so I can apply it and share it with others.

Having a teachable heart shows humility. And when we come before God with that spirit, I believe the Holy Spirit begins to open our eyes and helps us grow.

Pain is the universal language. It speaks to every person, every culture, every age.
With everything going on in our world, like the tragic flooding in Texas, our hearts are heavy. Maybe today you're walking through your own personal storm. You feel crushed. You feel broken. And you’re wondering how you’re going to make it.

Can I remind you of something powerful? God is close to the brokenhearted.

Psalm 34:18 says, “The Lord is near the brokenhearted. He saves those crushed in spirit.”

We may not have all the answers, but we do know where to turn. Whether it's the loss of life in a disaster, persecution for faith, or silent suffering in your own home, God sees you. He understands your pain.

I’ve stood beside many hospital beds over the years. Some people stepped into heaven, but their families were left behind with tears and questions. As a pastor, I wish I had every answer. But what I do have is the word of God. And the word of God reminds me that He is faithful even when life doesn’t make sense.

So today, lean into the Lord. Cry out to Him. Trust Him with your pain. He knows what it feels like. And He promises to walk with you through the valley.

If there was ever a time to teach our children God's Word, it's now. We are living in a time where truth is being challenged, twisted, and sometimes ignored altogether. The world is loud with opinions, but many people are silent when it comes to Scripture. That is why a biblical worldview is so important.

We cannot expect the church alone to shape our children's faith. It starts at home. It starts when we open the Bible with our children. It starts when we pray together before bed. It starts when we guide them through life’s decisions using God’s Word as the foundation.

Paul told Timothy that perilous times would come. The word perilous means difficult, dangerous, and even confusing. It’s like flying through turbulence. You can’t always see it, but you can feel it. That’s what our world feels like now. But when we teach our children truth from the Bible, we give them something solid to hold onto in a shaky world.

As parents and leaders, we carry the responsibility to model God’s truth. Someone is shaping your children. Let it be you, guided by the Word of God.

I want to share something from my heart. Tomorrow, I’ll be heading to Washington, D.C., with Christians United for Israel and I will be there into next week. As the largest pro-Israel organization in the United States, with over 10 million members, Christians United for Israel (CUFI) is the foremost Christian organization educating and empowering millions of Americans to speak and act with one voice in defense of Israel and the Jewish people. This is a great ministry led by Pastor John Hagee, who is the founder of (CUFI), from San Antonio, Texas.

As the North Carolina State Coordinator of (CUFI), I’ll be leading a team to meet with our senators and representatives to encourage them to stand with Israel. I’m asking for your prayers. Not just for safety and strength, but for something even deeper. I need the anointing of the Holy Spirit.

Now you might ask, what is the anointing? Simply put, it’s God’s power working through us. It’s not about our strength. It’s not about our ability. It’s about His Spirit enabling us to do what He’s called us to do.

I don’t want to walk in Brian’s strength. I want to walk in the strength of the Holy Spirit. That’s what I’m praying for. Divine favor. Divine conversations. Divine connections. I believe with all my heart that God is already working behind the scenes.

Maybe you’ve got a big decision coming up. Maybe you’ve been praying for a breakthrough. You don’t need to do it in your own power. You need God’s power for God’s purpose.

We must always be ready. Not just for work or school or responsibilities, but ready spiritually. Jesus is coming soon.

In John 14, Jesus sat with His disciples and could see the fear on their faces. He told them, “Let not your heart be troubled...” and then gave them a promise: “I go to prepare a place for you... I will come again and receive you unto myself.” That is the hope we hold onto today.

The Bible teaches us clearly that we won’t know the day or the hour. Jesus will return like a thief in the night. That means we need to be ready at all times.

Being ready means having your heart right with God. It means confessing your sins and living daily for Christ. It’s more than saying you believe. It’s showing that belief in the way you live.

When Jesus returns, He’s coming for those who are looking for Him. So I’ll ask you plainly… are you ready?

The Bible tells us that the next great event on God’s calendar is the return of His Son, Jesus Christ. I believe we are very close to what the Bible calls the rapture of the Church. Jesus Himself said, “When you see these things begin to come to pass, look up, for your redemption draws near.”

Now I know, some may say, “I’ve heard that all my life.” And I get that. I’ve heard it my whole life too. But just because the wait has been long doesn’t mean the promise won’t happen. Jesus is coming! And I believe He is coming very, very soon.

The Bible does not tell us the exact day or hour. In fact, it warns us not to listen to those who claim they know. What it does tell us is to watch and pray. The Apostle Paul wrote in 1 Thessalonians 4 that “the Lord Himself shall descend from heaven with a shout… and the dead in Christ shall rise first. Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together to meet the Lord in the air.”

That’s the rapture. And Paul finishes by saying, “Comfort one another with these words.”

The coming of Jesus is not something to fear. For the believer, it’s our blessed hope. Titus 2:13 calls it “the blessed hope of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ.” So when the world looks uncertain, and the headlines bring fear, remember this. We are to look up and not hang our heads down.

If you don’t know Jesus as your Savior, don’t wait another day. Invite Him into your heart. Confess your sins. He will forgive you. And He will give you peace.

In Hosea 4:6, the Bible says, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.” That verse reminds us how important it is to understand God’s Word. When the Holy Spirit teaches us, we gain clarity, peace, and strength, especially when life feels uncertain.

Right now, the world seems full of chaos and confusion. There are wars, rumors of wars, and rising tensions. After the United States struck nuclear sites and Iran responded, many people are asking, Where is all this heading? I get it. I’ve said it before, “I have more questions than I have answers.” But even when we don’t have all the answers, we do have the Word of God.

When fear and anxiety come, the Bible is where we find our peace. It reminds us that God is not surprised by anything happening in our world. He is in full control of His prophetic timeline.

Maybe today, you feel overwhelmed. You hear bad news, you see headlines that stir up worry, and you feel fear creeping in. But say this out loud: God is in control. Preach that truth to yourself. Let it settle in your heart.

No, we cannot control world leaders or the choices of nations. But we serve the One who holds all things together. So what do we do?

We pray.

We pray for our leaders. We pray for our president. We pray for Israel. We pray for our military. And we pray for God's divine help in all these matters. Because prayer is our greatest weapon. Prayer is how we invite God into the affairs of men and ask for His will to be done.

When we pray, God moves. His plan will unfold. And we can face today, tomorrow, and the days ahead with peace in our hearts.

Yes, the headlines are heavy. The world feels unstable. But here’s what we know for sure. God is not shaken! He’s not caught off guard. Everything that is happening lines up with what the Bible has already told us. That’s why now, more than ever, we need to understand where we are on God’s prophetic timeline.

Jesus gave us a word of comfort in John 14:1. He told His followers not to be troubled. If you belong to Him, you do not have to live in fear. These days we’re living in may be uncertain, but our God is unshakable.

If you’ve been watching the news, you know that Israel and Iran are at war. And maybe you’ve asked, Where is all this heading? What’s going to happen next? That’s a fair question. But I want to remind you, there is no need to fear. The Bible tells us what is coming, and the Bible never gets it wrong.

In the last days, the Bible says Israel will be surrounded by conflict. That’s exactly what we’re seeing today. Satan is doing all he can to stop the plans of God. But no matter what the enemy tries, he cannot win. Israel is not just a political issue. Israel is biblical. It is God’s land, and the Jewish people are God’s people.

We hear the chants around the world, “From the river to the sea.” That statement is calling for the destruction of Israel. But let me say this again. There will always be an Israel. The Bible makes that very clear.

Iran has made it known they want to destroy Israel. They even call Israel the little Satan and America the great Satan. They threaten to use nuclear weapons, but those threats will not change God’s plan. Because God is in control.

The Bible speaks about a future war in Ezekiel chapters 38 and 39. It is often called the Gog Magog War. The Bible says that one day there will be a surprise attack on Israel from the north. No nation will help Israel, but God Himself will step in and defeat the enemy.

Another future war is called the Battle of Armageddon. You can read about it in Revelation 19 and the book of Zechariah. These future wars show us where the world is heading. But again, we do not need to live in fear. We live by faith.

God is on the throne. He keeps every promise. And He will always defend His people.

Let me remind you of something strong and simple. God always keeps His promises. No matter what’s happening in the world, that truth will never change.

We’ve been talking about what’s going on in the Middle East. And while it may seem like a new conflict, the truth is this fight has been going on for a long time. That part of the world has always had tension. But this isn’t just about politics. It’s much deeper. This is a spiritual battle.

All the way back in Genesis 12, God made a promise to Abram whose name was changed to Abraham. God told him to leave his home and go to a land that He would show him. God promised to make Abraham a great nation. God said He would bless those who bless Israel and curse those who curse Israel. That promise still stands today.

The devil has been trying to stop God’s plan from the very beginning. He uses people and nations to come against Israel. But here’s what I know. Satan cannot stop the Word of God. He can try all he wants, but he will never win. God’s Word is forever. God’s promises will always come to pass.

That’s why we must stand with Israel. God said if we bless them, He will bless us. But if we curse them, we bring trouble on ourselves. That’s not something to take lightly. It’s right there in the Bible.

I want to encourage you today. When you see conflict in the news, do not be afraid. Be alert. Know the Bible is unfolding right in front of us. God is still on the throne, and He is in control.

Let me say this right at the start: Satan cannot stop Bible prophecy from coming to pass. No matter how hard the enemy tries, he cannot block what God has already declared in His Word.

The Bible is very clear about the times we are living in. The prophet Hosea tells us, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.” That’s why it is so important that we grow in our understanding of what the Bible says. When we do, we can look at what’s happening in the world and not be confused or afraid. We can see these events through a biblical lens.

Yes, there is a spiritual battle going on in the Middle East right now. Israel is under attack, and many will say it’s political or religious. But I believe it’s even deeper than that. It is a battle between good and evil. It’s a battle between God’s promises and Satan’s lies.

The book of Revelation tells us in chapter 12 that Satan is coming against the woman, which represents the nation of Israel, and the manchild, which is Jesus the Messiah. This war has been going on for thousands of years. But here’s the good news. Satan will not win.

Jesus said in John 16:33, “In this world you will have trouble. But take heart. I have overcome the world.” That means even when the world looks shaky, we can stand strong. We have peace, we have hope, and we have victory through Jesus Christ.

So what does all this mean for you and your family right now? It means you don’t have to live in fear. You don’t have to wonder if God is still in control. He is. You can trust His Word. You can rest in His promises. Because what God says will happen is going to happen.

I want to talk about what’s happening in the Middle East, especially with the nation of Israel. You may ask, “Is this just about politics?” Let me tell you clearly. This is not just a political battle. This is a spiritual war.

For the past 20 months, Israel has been fighting Hamas. They’re also facing attacks from Hezbollah in Lebanon and the Houthis in Yemen. These groups are backed by Iran, and they want to destroy Israel. But this is more than a war between Iranian proxies. It’s a battle against what God has promised in His Word.

You see, Israel is not just any nation. Israel is biblical. God gave the land of Israel to the Jewish people. The Bible says Jesus will return to the Mount of Olives in Jerusalem. Satan is doing everything he can to stop that from happening, but he won’t win. Bible prophecy cannot be stopped.

Let me read a few verses from Revelation 12:

“A great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun... She was pregnant and cried out in pain as she was about to give birth... Then another sign appeared: a huge red dragon... The dragon stood in front of the woman who was about to give birth, so that it might devour her child the moment he was born.” (Revelation 12:1–5)

In these verses, the woman is Israel. The child is Jesus. The dragon is Satan. This shows us that Satan has always wanted to stop God’s plan. But he didn’t stop Jesus before, and he won’t stop Him when He comes again.

This is why we must pray and understand what’s really happening. This is a spiritual war.

If you’ve been watching the news, then you know what is happening in the Middle East. War has broken out between Israel and Iran. You may be wondering, What does this have to do with me? Or even, What does the Bible say about all of this?

Let me tell you plainly. This is a big deal. You are not just reading headlines. You are living in Bible times.

The Bible has always pointed to Israel as the center of God’s prophetic timeline. Jesus talked about the fig tree in Matthew 24. He said when you see it bud, you will know that summer is near. That fig tree is Israel. And in 1948, when Israel became a nation again, it was a major prophetic sign. It confirmed what God had already said in His Word.

The Bible also tells us that in the last days, Jerusalem would become a burdensome stone. That’s exactly what we are seeing right now. Nations are watching. Tensions are high. Missiles are flying. And people are asking, What happens next?

Jesus said there would be wars and rumors of wars. That is exactly what is happening. These current events are not a surprise to God. He told us they were coming.

Now more than ever, we need to pray. Pray for Israel. Pray for the peace of Jerusalem. But also pray for the innocent people of Iran. While the leaders in Iran are spreading evil, many people there are hungry for truth. Revival is happening underground. People are coming to know Jesus.

You might feel like these events are far away, but they are very close to God’s heart. And they should be close to ours too.
